Sarah Omar (b. 2000) is an artist and researcher from Alexandria, currently based in Berlin.  With an academic background in biology and linguistics, her work approaches cultural and political questions through an interdisciplinary lens. She is particularly interested in the colonial continuities embedded in systems of knowledge, and how dominant narratives shape ideas of belonging. Her  research and practice often present themselves in fluid and overlapping moving and non-moving images , texts and sounds. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the joint Design and Computation program at the University of the Arts Berlin.
